What Motivates Us

At Green Hills, we believe that our primary purpose, as individuals and as a church, is to glorify God. This is done by knowing Jesus Christ and obeying his commands, and helping others to do the same.

We believe there are several foundational pillars that a healthy, God-reflecting church must be built upon. These are:

Personal relationships with Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 5:9-13)
The Holy Spirit's empowering (Acts 1:4-8, Ephesians 5:18)
God's word (2 Timothy 3:16, Ephesians 6:17)
Prayer (Matthew 21:13, Ephesians 6:18)
Worship (Psalm 29:2, Psalm 95:6, John 4:23-24)
Evangelism (Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 10:13-15)
Loving relationships (John 13:34-35, 1 John 4:20)
Spirit-gifted ministry (1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:11-16)

We believe that all of these things work together in the church to help us know Jesus and make him known to others.
